Thomas Tuchel spoke of high praises following victory against Borussia Mönchengladbach. With injuries to the team, Thomas Müller was granted his first start of 2024.
Having struggled in the past against Borussia Mönchengladbach, Thomas Tuchel opened the press conference following the game with a statement in which he said: "We (Bayern Munich) had many chances, high-quality chances. We had two minutes in which Gladbach managed to get into our box and we conceded."
Tuchel then said: "Pavlovic scored a neat goal before half-time which gave us a degree of calmness heading into half-time."
Bayern Munich managed 2.07 expected goals (xG) throughout the game and controlled much of the possession (55%) and had the vast majority of the chances in the game.
In terms of the personnel ahead of the Bayer Leverkusen game, Tuchel said: "We will try and see with Upamecano and with Joshua (Kimmich). We will see in midweek whether they are able to play in training."
Alphonso Davies also sustained an injury in the match versus Borussia Mönchengladbach and Tuchel said the player will undergo a medical check in midweek to oversee the state of the knee injury.
One huge point made by Thomas Tuchel was one regarding the goal for next week's fixture top-two Bundesliga clash against Bayer Leverkusen. In this, he said: "Leverkusen's form is clear but so is our goal, to beat them and hand them their first defeat of the season."

Bayern Munich head to the BayArena next Saturday evening to play their title challengers Bayer Leverkusen in a clash which will no doubt prove to be decisive in both the morale and the course of the season for both teams.
