From Lockdown to Bundesliga: Futmo's Journey
During the lockdown, our founder's love for German football grew stronger. Over this period, the Bundesliga found a new popularity in the U.K. as it became the first league to restart during lockdown.
Inspired by the lack of English coverage and the league's increase in popularity with British players like Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham excelling in Germany, Futmo was born.

Moritz Baer is the owner and founder of German football media website Futmo. Alongside his university studies, Moritz started off writing about the Bundesliga for Bulinews and Vavel about the Bundesliga in 2023. Following this, he was inspired to create his own journey and establish his own German football media site.
A lifelong long Borussia Dortmund fan and season ticket holder. I am passionate about German football from the Bundesliga down to the Regionalliga. I have a background in education and have worked in numerous settings. Away from the studying German football I can be found coaching Newmarket U18 Rugby team. As well as running a fan club I am happy to offer advice about sourcing tickets for fans looking to make a trip to German football grounds.
