VfB Stuttgart are likely to be without Deniz Undav until March due to injury. He is expected to miss clashes against 1. FC Köln and potentially against VfL Wolfsburg.

It has been confirmed today that Deniz Undav sustained a minor muscle strain on his left thigh in their last match against SV Darmstadt.

As a result, he will miss the match against 1. FC Köln.

Stuttgart added that he may be fit for the clash against VfL Wolfsburg, however, there are some doubts over his availability for that match currently.

The twenty-nine-year-old player is on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion until the end of the season and has scored fourteen goals this Bundesliga season.

He is the highest scoring German in the Bundesliga and has become a real candidate for Julian Nagelsmann's Germany side.

VfB Stuttgart may look to keep the player in the summer (with Undav keen to stay at the club), granted his buy option has risen from €12 million to €20 million.
